Dreams PLC is one of Britain's leading bed specialists offering choice, quality and a high level of customer service. Currently they have in excess of 110 stores and 8 satellite distribution centres that support the stores nationwide. Dreams continues with its national expansion strategy and in 2004 established a central logistics operation in the Midlands.
With the help of CC, Dreams is leading the way in the retail sector, with the introduction of a converged voice and data strategy that has significantly improved internal and customer communication.
CC designed and implemented an IP VPN based on an MPLS network, utilising ADSL access for stores. This has given distribution centres radically improved access to Dreams' core systems as well as the capability for email and web services.
CC has already reduced Dreams' telephony call charges by 40% on an annual basis by leveraging its buying power with carriers in the UK. The new network is providing voice telephony applications over IP using a single centrally-managed IP telephone system designed to deliver feature-rich voice applications to all Dreams locations.
